As Design Director at Business Insider, I led the editorial art team, overseeing all story visuals, illustrations, and newsroom creative projects. I set the strategic direction for the team, managing workflows in Airtable and Asana, and collaborated closely with photographers, developers, and data visualization editors to produce visually impactful features. I directed hiring and recruitment, managed freelance talent, and supported team growth through career development, mentorship, and goal setting. I also developed and presented newsroom trainings, style guides, and internal resources.
